Arrive Punta Gorda:

Arrive at Belize Airport and meet with a representative who will review your itinerary with you and assist you with before your flight to Punta Gorda. It's a small village with a laid-back vibe, where the jungle meets the ocean. Upon arrival, you'll have a transfer to a eco-lodge outside the village, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Punta Gorda:

Today, visit the Mayan ruins at Lubaantun. Meaning "place of fallen stones" this classic period site has been abandoned for more than 1000 years. After visiting this site, you will have a short hike through the jungle to the famous Hokeb Ha Cave, where you can enjoy a swim in the sparkling water, as stalactites loom overhead. After this adventure, finish with lunch in a local café, or learn more about Mayan life and join your guide's family for a meal.

Punta Gorda:

Enjoy a Half Day Snorkel Tour. This snorkeling and reef tour takes guests to the southern end of the Port of Honduras Marine Reserve to see a variety of aquatic species including sea fans, coral, colorful tropical fish, seahorses, rays, eels, and turtles. This tour will take about 3-4 hours, and masks and snorkels will be provided. After your personal encounter with some of the friendly critters, you will be transferred back to Punta Gorda.

An exciting day awaits you with a visit to the Jaguar Reserve along with a Chocolate Tour. Cockscomb Basin is renowned for being the world's first and only jaguar preserve with over 128,000 acres of lush tropical rainforest. It's home to all five of Belize's large cats: jaguar, puma, margay, jaguarundi, and ocelot. You'll explore the jungle trails of this flora and fauna sanctuary with a naturalist tour guide. After your hike, grab some lunch before heading over to a nearby cacao farm. You'll get a front row seat to the ancient practice of chocolate making. You'll learn everything there is to know about chocolate, including its many healthy properties, and how the ancient Maya civilizations used cacao beans as currency.

Enjoy an exciting outdoor adventure with a Cave Tubing and Ziplining experience, as you'll spend your day enjoying the crystal blue waters of St. Herman's National Park. A scenic drive through Belize's citrus and banana farms brings you to St. Herman's. You'll start with a short 15-minute hike led by a knowledgeable local guide, where you'll learn about the cave's archaeology and the geology of the surrounding Maya Mountain. Your guide will hand out head-lamps, and then you'll settle in and spend the next two hours lazily floating on inflated inner tubes assisted by gentle currents through the "Maya Underworld". After lunch, experience the thrill of zipping high above the rainforest canopy and get a bird's eye perspective of the beautiful scenery. After this exhilarating day, you'll return to your hotel.

After breakfast, meet your guide for a Garifuna Cultural and Culinary Adventure. This tour offers an enriching experience that completely immerses you in the culture and traditions of the Garifuna people. Long hailed as "the teachers of Belize", your Garifuna hosts, dressed in traditional attire, will teach you about the history and tradition of one of Belize's prominent ethnic groups. You'll learn about the many magical and beneficial properties of the coconut, and the art of traditional coconut harvesting, husking, grating and milk extraction. Your labor of love will be repaid many times over when you sit down to partake in a delicious Hudut - a coconut-based soup with fresh herbs and the catch of the day.
