Arrive at Belize Airport and meet with a representative who will review your itinerary with you and assist you with before your flight to Punta Gorda. It's a small village with a laid-back vibe, where the jungle meets the ocean. Upon arrival, you'll have a transfer to a eco-lodge outside the village, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Today, visit the Mayan ruins at Lubaantun. Meaning "place of fallen stones" this classic period site has been abandoned for more than 1000 years. After your hike, grab some lunch before heading over to a nearby cacao farm. You'll get a front row seat to the ancient practice of chocolate making. A scenic drive through Belize's citrus and banana farms brings you to St. Herman's. You'll start with a short 15-minute hike led by a knowledgeable local guide, where you'll learn about the cave's archaeology and the geology of the surrounding Maya Mountain. Your guide will hand out head-lamps, and then you'll settle in and spend the next two hours lazily floating on inflated inner tubes assisted by gentle currents through the "Maya Underworld".
