Meet and Greet on arrival at the Belize International Airport. Connect to a short commuter flight to Placencia, south of Belize City. Transfer to your selected hotel.

Explore Cockscomb Basin, the world's first and only Jaguar preserve. This 128,000 acre tropical forest is home to all five of Belize's large cats: jaguar, puma, margay, jaguarundi, and ocelot. Explore the jungle trails with a naturalist guide and learn about the flora and fauna of this unique environment. After walking through the jungle, float or tube down the rive for an up-close look at the jungle. Next, have some lunch and head to a cacao farm where you'll learn about he ancient practice of chocolate making.

Transfer by minivan 3 hours to the Cayo District to the lively little town of San Ignacio, situated between the Macal and Mopan Rivers. Overnight at your selected hotel.

Cayo District:
Today, you will take the Xunantunch and Barton Creek Caves Tour. Full-Day Private Xunantunich Maya Temples and Barton Creek Caves by Canoe: Xunantunich sits just inside the Western border of Belize to Guatemala. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th century hand-cranked ferry which takes you across the Mopan River. From this vantage point, one gains a panoramic view of the Cayo District and Guatemala. Next, we continue to Barton Creek Cave in Amish territory. Equipped with canoes and high-powered lights we gently paddle into Xibalba (she-bal-ba). As you glide through the cave system you will be dazzled by the glistening crystalline rock formations and awed by the Mayan artifacts secretly tucked away in overhead alcoves.

Cayo District to Ambergris Caye:
Mid-morning return transfer via the Western Highway to Belize City. Upon arrival, you will take a short 20 minute commuter flight to the seaside village of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye.

Ambergris Caye:
A snorkel adventure awaits you at Hol Chan Marine Reserve (Maya for Little Channel), the first marine reserve established in Central America. Explore the coral reefs as you swim amongst the abundant marine life. Next, you will head to your second snorkel stop, Shark Ray Alley, where you will encounter friendly stingrays, inquisitive brown nurse sharks, turtles, as well as an abundance of colorful reef fish including snappers and jacks.

Ambergris Caye:
Free day to explore San Pedro, Ambergris Caye at your leisure. Optional activities include Snorkeling or Barrier Reef Diving.
