Today enjoy a five-hour tour of the highlights of the city, both ancient and modern. Visit the Acropolis, the crowning beauty of ancient Athens, with its many monuments: the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Drive to the Roman Temple of Olympic Zeus and see the Panathinaikon Stadium—site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Visit Constitution Square to see the 19th century government buildings including Parliament House. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue to see many other impressive buildings, then end your tour at the new Acropolis Museum, where you can see a full exhibition of the glory of Ancient Athens. The tour returns you to your hotel, and you have the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight enjoy a traditional dinner at Kuzina Restaurant. From your rooftop table, enjoy views over the Acropolis.

After breakfast, your private transfer takes you across the Corinth Canal to Nafplion, a charming seaport city that was the first capital of the newly independent Greece in the 1820s and 30s. After arriving at your hotel you have time to explore the narrow streets of the Old Town, filled with Venetian palaces, cafés and restaurants, and walk along the waterfront to admire views of the Venetian fortress built on an islet in the harbor. Tonight, enjoy a traditional meal at a local seaside restaurant.

Today you will visit two of the most famous seafront castles of the area. First you will visit the awe-inspiring castle of Methoni where you will discover the castle's history and beauty and have a chance to take your own photographs of the famous Bourtzi. Next you will travel to the historic town of Pylos where you will visit the Neo Catro, learning about the battle of Navarino bay and take in the breathtaking views.
Lunch will be served during this tour. At the conclusion of the castle visits, you are returned to your hotel.

A free day to explore the nearby beaches. Or consider an optional excursion to the Palace of King Nestor, mentioned in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, and the best-preserved castle of the Mycenaean Era.
