Saundersfoot:

After a leisurely breakfast, drive west to Pembroke Castle, birthplace of Henry VII. Built in 1090, it offers stunning views of the coast. Unsurpassed in strength, this mighty Norman castle has the distinction of never falling to the Welsh. Afterwards, continue on to St. Govan's Chapel. It's a unique structure built into the side of a limestone cliff by the hermit St Govan, approximately in 580 AD. Drive back to Saundersfoot along the coast.

Saundersfoot to Cardigan:

After breakfast, drive to Cardigan, an ancient town sitting on the estuary of the River Teifi. Its rich heritage provides a nostalgic backdrop to a thriving culture of arts and crafts, events and music festivals. After checking into your hotel, you can tour Cardigan Castle. A visit to Cardigan Castle isn't your typical fortress experience; It plays host to a range of permanent & temporary exhibits, and you'll discover how it became the birthplace of Wales biggest cultural festival, the Eisteddfod. The remainder of the day is free and dinner will be on your own this evening.

Cardigan:

Late morning at a time to be advised, you'll take a Wildlife Boat trip (aka a Bay to Remember). It encompasses about 10 miles, and the 1st stop is Cardigan Island; an important nesting area for a variety of seabirds. We'll then explore the coast between Cardigan Island and Mwnt, which is an important feeding area, and where you most regularly see their resident bottlenose dolphins.

In the afternoon, take a pleasant ride to the Bluestone Brewing Company. It's a family run brewery situated in the foothills of the Preseli Hills in North Pembrokeshire, producing hand crafted real ales. Using local water filtered down through the Bluestone Hills with no filtering or added chemicals, it results in a range of flavorful Rock Solid Ales. After taking a brief tour, you'll have the opportunity to sample some of their brews. Returning to Cardigan, dinner will be on your own this evening.
