Your guide will meet you at your hotel for your Private Walking Tour. This 2.5-hour walk starts with an exploration of Salzburg's old town with its narrow, crooked little streets and the unique passageways. Salzburg's commercial center still remains intact in its medieval charm contrasting the great spacious Baroque squares of the district where the Archbishops presided over the city in their Residence. You will pass by Mozart's Birthplace on Getreidegasse and the Festival Halls before you reach St. Peter's Abbey; a monastery of the Benedictines dating back to 696 AD. Along the way, your guide will provide interesting stories of Salzburg's medieval salt history (the white gold) as well as tales about the Mozart family's lives and careers. This evening, enjoy a 3-course dinner at the historic Sternbräu. The "Sternbräu" is located right in the middle of the Old Town of Salzburg, along the pedestrian Getreidegasse.
