In the morning, we will leave from your hotel in Cuzco to begin our route towards the South Valley until we arrive to the Canincunca Chapel, whose walls are decorated with murals, textiles, motifs, and representations of Andean flora and fauna, representative characteristics of Andean Baroque design. Later, we will head to the Huaro Temple. Its Renaissance Altar is one of the oldest in the country but more fascinating are the wall paintings that decorate the front door. To finish our tour, we'll head at the village of Andahuaylillas, where the San Pedro Church of Andahuaylillas, better known as the Sistine Chapel of America, is located. The combination of its balanced construction and extraordinary interior make it one of the most beautiful churches in the region. Once the tour is finished, we'll go to our lodge in Cusipata and have a relaxing evening before our early start the next day.

With an early rise and delicious breakfast we will jump on the bus for an hour to begin our ascent of the colored mountain (5,000 m.a.s.l.). During the trek, we'll observe beautiful countryside scenes and, if we're lucky, we'll spot several South American camelids including llama and vicuña. After approximately three hours of trekking, we'll arrive at the spectacular Vinicunca where you'll be able to see the magnificent coloring of the mountain caused by eroded sedimentary rock. You'll also be able to see the surrounding mountains and the imposing snow-capped Ausangate. After enjoying the views from Vinicunca, we'll begin our descent to our waiting vehicle that will take us back to Cuzco.
