After a leisurely breakfast, your private driver will pick you up to head to the winemaking town of Gavi in the Piedmont region (driving time: 2 hours). Today enjoy a wine tasting at the Villa Sparina Winery, which produces the classic Gavi white wine, before your private car transfer through the rolling hills of Piedmont's wine country to the Riviera resort of Portovenere (driving time: 2.5 hours). Originally built as a Roman fort, this beautiful village has a picturesque harbor and colorful houses, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your 3-night stay is at the Grand Hotel Portovenere, a luxury boutique hotel with a superb restaurant and outstanding views over the harbor—which you will enjoy while having dinner at the hotel's restaurant this evening.
