Often called "Blue Pearl" of Mongolia, it's been untouched by industry and modern urban life, thus the lake water is unbelievably clear and clean. The lake contains over 1% of the world's fresh water resources and the largest in Central Asia. The clarity of the water allows one to see fish down to a depth of at least 100 feet. From January to end of April, the lake freezes over and is covered for several months by 4 feet of ice. After the tour, you'll have a transfer to the ger* camp at the shore of the lake.

A "ger" is the traditional type of housing used by Mongolian nomads. Structurally similar to a yurt, a ger is a circular tent outfitted with all the necessities of a home.
