Excursion to Huerquehue National Park

Spend the day exploring the trails in this national park located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, only a few miles from the town of Pucón. The park has many trails through the forests of monkey-puzzle trees, several waterfalls, and 20 lakes and lagoons. Among the local wildlife are Darwin's Frog, the Andean Fox and the Andean Condor.

This morning you have a private transfer for the 2½-hour drive to the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, which lies in the middle of the Patagonian Rainforest. Osorno and Petrohue Falls Tour

Today you will have a six-hour excursion to see some of the most beautiful sights in Chile. Start by visiting the shore of Llanquihue Lake for a stunning view of Osorno and Calibuco Volcanoes. Then you will ascend to the Osorno Ski Mountain Center, at an elevation of 4,000 feet, for breathtaking views of the volcanoes, the lake and the distant Pacific Ocean. You'll have lunch at the ski center before departing to Vincente Perez Rosales National Park on the shore of Todos Los Santos Lake. Here you can take a stroll on the lakeshore, surrounded by an evergreen forest. Then visit the Petrohué River Rapids, where the river passes over large smooth lava boulders. Continue on to the lakeshore to board a boat for a 40-minute ride on Todos Los Santos Lake [optional, paid locally], with views of evergreen forests and volcanoes—a spectacular setting. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
