Hong Kong:

After breakfast, meet your guide to see all the highlights of Hong Kong Island on this group orientation tour. It's is a great way to get to know Hong Kong and its famous landmarks and history. Ride on the world's steepest funicular railway, the Peak Tram! Pulled by steel cables, the tram climbs 1,200 feet and is so steep that the buildings you pass look like they're leaning. Looking down from The Peak, you'll be amazed by the spectacular view of the surrounding city skyline, peaceful green hills, and the world-famous Victoria Harbor and Kowloon. Next you will visit Aberdeen, the famous fishing village where you'll see Hong Kong's junk-dwelling floating community, still very much a part of Hong Kong life. An optional 15-20 minutes sampan ride* can be arranged into the typhoon shelter for a close-up view of waterborne life. You'll end your tour passing through picturesque Repulse Bay on your way to Stanley, a popular open air market town on the south side of Hong Kong Island. It's a favorite with locals and expats as well as tourists. You'll have time to peruse Stanley's relaxed ambiance and markets, and plan on some good-natured bargaining for a few souvenirs to take home. Afterwards, you can continue exploring independently or return to your hotel.

Hong Kong:

After breakfast, your day is free for independent sightseeing. Perhaps enjoy a relaxing shoreline hike along the Avenue of Stars, although unlike Hollywood Boulevard, you may not be familiar with every screen idol. Then take a ride on the Star Ferry, one of the world's finest examples of public transport, offering Hong Kong's cheapest thrill. Locals will tell you that the less expensive, lower deck actually offers better views.

Make sure you pause for lunch. You'll have a stunning array of delicacies to choose, from street food, to traditional dim sum lunches, and even several Michelin Star rated restaurants. For a cultural afternoon, In Kowloon, the highlight of the Hong Kong Museum of History is the Hong Kong Story; a compelling account of this unique territory. On the "north bank", the Museum of Art offers an impressive collection of Ming and Tang dynasty ceramics.

Relax back at your hotel, as this evening, you'll enjoy The "Symphony of Lights" cruise. It's the perfect way to unwind before dinner* after a long day of touring. You'll board the authentic Chinese sightseeing cruise boat Aqua Luna, as she sails around the Victoria Harbor. The spectacular Hong Kong's skyline on both side of the harbor will fire your imagination as the dazzling neon cityscape emerges. The synchronized 20-minute Symphony of Lights display combines interactive lights of 33 key buildings on both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, with musical effects to showcase the vibrancy and glamorous night vista of Victoria Harbor. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the dazzling show with unlimited drinks on board for an unforgettable Hong Kong by night.

*Please check with your voucher or local itinerary for the confirmed departure location and time. Note: Guests will need to make their own way to the pier, and the hotel can arrange a taxi transfer.
