Travel back in time to this ancient historical city, affectionately known as "the museum without walls". Revisit the Golden Age of Buddhism while viewing the stunning Bulguksa Temple. Stand in awe of the Seokguram Grotto, home to the 1000 year old stone Buddhist sculpture and stroll the grounds of serene Wolji Pond. Take a relaxing private hiking tour to scenic Mt Namsan, walking amid numerous stone sculptures of Buddha, and be rewarded with stunning vistas.

Arrive Gyeongju:

Meet your English speaking driver at the Shingyeongju KTX Station for your private transfer to your Gyeongju (Kyung-joo) hotel. After checking in, the remainder of your day is at your leisure to rest or explore independently. Dinner will be on your own this evening.

After breakfast, meet your guide to enjoy the highlights of Gyeongju in this full day private city tour. We'll start with a visit to Seokguran Grott. Seokguran, located on Tohamsan Mountain, is the representative stone temple of Korea. The official name of Seokguran, National Treasure No. 24, is Seokguran Seokgul. Designated as World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995, it's an artificial stone temple made of granite.

Continue your journey to Bulguksa Temple, where a relic of Gyeongju is located. The beauty of the temple and the artistic touch of the stone relics are known throughout the world, which is why it has been designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO. Later, we'll visit Wolji Pond. According to the historical records, Wolji Pond was built during the 14th year of King Munmu of the Silla Dynasty. After the fall of Shilla, the site was abandoned and ruined. Some of the original buildings have been reconstructed along with the pond.

Returning to your hotel, the remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Gyeongju:

After breakfast, you'll enjoy the beautiful vistas as you hike with your private guide on Mt. Namsan. Namsan Mountain is a veritable open-air museum, with 100 temples, 80 stones Buddha statues, and 60 stone pagodas scattered across the mountainside. Take in the beauty of the numerous valleys, unique rock formations, and beautiful trails, as you wander through this amazing landscape. After this invigorating adventure, you'll return to Gyeongiu and the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
