Explore the highlights of Angkor Wat park from an open-air, motorcycle-drawn carriage. The largest, best preserved, and most religiously significant of the Angkor temples, the eponymous temple impresses visitors both by its sheer scale and beautifully proportioned layout, as well as the delicate artistry of its carvings. Cross the vast moat and continue along a broad causeway lined with carved naga (snake) stone balustrades. Be sure to stop and enjoy the intricate stone carvings that adorn nearly every surface, with some 1,700 Apsaras, or celestial dancers, sculpted into the walls. Angkor Wat is stunning at any time of the day, but sunrise and sunset are especially beautiful times to watch the play of light on the stones.

Next visit Angkor Thom, a fortified city that covers an area of 10 square km. Enclosed by a wall and wide moats, the city includes many of Angkor's most popular sights. Enter by the monumental south gate over a causeway lined on either side by statues of demons and gods, each carrying a giant naga. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leopard Kings, former spaces for public ceremonies, both adorned with dramatic bas reliefs. You'll visit the ruined Baphoun, Royal Enclosure, and Phimeanakas before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple. In this temple, one of the most popular and compelling in Angkor, explore the galleries of beautifully preserved bas reliefs and ascend narrow stairs to reach the central sanctuary, where you will find giant stone faces smiling enigmatically down at you from every angle.

Meet your guide at your hotel lobby for the morning tour of the Angkor National Museum. Located on the main road to Angkor, the Angkor National Museum will take its visitors through the beginning of the Khmer civilization to its highest point. The museum's interactive exhibits (paired with an audio headset) will allow visitors a deeper understanding of this ancient empire. In addition to the multi-media exhibitions, the museum displays several galleries of artifacts and sculptures that will take you through the rise of the Khmer empire.

In the afternoon, you and your guide will travel by remork to Treak Village set in a charming rural location. Your cooking class will be held in the outdoors in a bamboo pavilion, surrounded by banana trees, bamboo, and a fish pond. You will take a short walk to the village to visit a local family and their garden. Spend some time here to see how the various vegetables, fruits, and herbs are grown, and to learn a little about food superstition and beliefs. Back in the interactive class, you will learn how to cook up delicious Cambodian dishes at your own cooking station. Sit down to enjoy your freshly cooked cuisine in a lovely pavilion overlooking the beautiful nature surrounding.
