Arrival in Sils:

Arrival in Zurich Airport and take a 1st class rail transfer to St. Moritz. Upon arrival, you'll have a private transfer to the 5 star Grand Hotel Waldhaus in Sils Maria. Perched above Lake Sils, this legendary hotel is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. After checking in, relax or explore your surroundings. Later enjoy a welcome drink followed by a 5 course dinner. And as a half-pension guest, you get to choose between different first courses, main courses – including fish and vegetarian options - and desserts every day.

Sils:

After breakfast, hop on a horse carriage for a leisurely ride into the Val Fex, one of the most beautiful side valleys in the Engadin. The mostly car-free Val Fex ensures that the only sounds you hear are the tinkling of bells on the horses. Returning to the hotel, there are a variety of activities to choose. Besides their spa, their gym offers the latest fitness equipment and two well-maintained tennis courts. A good way to build up your appetite since another sumptuous dinner awaits you that evening.

Sils to Zermatt:

After breakfast, meet with your driver for your transfer to the St. Moritz train station. There, you will board the famous Glacier Express.* The journey will take about 7 and 1/2 hours. Enjoy a 3 course meal while taking in the breath-taking sights of this world famous train ride. After arriving in Zermatt, meet your driver for a transfer to the exclusive Zematterhof Hotel, epitomizing Alpine elegance. You can take advantage of their spacious pool, whirlpool, and sauna before dinner. The Zermatterhof, as part of the Matterhorn Group, offers a culinary pass which guests can purchase and use it to dine at any one of the several restaurants in the group.

Zermatt:

Enjoy a stroll through car-free Zermatt. The Bahnhofstrasse is Zermatt's main street, and a delight to walk along at any time with its bars, restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops, bakeries and shops selling cakes and chocolates. Later it's just a few minutes walk to the Gornergrat Railway. From here, experience the mountain rack railway, boasting the highest open-air railway on the continent. On your way to Gornergrat, you'll reach an altitude of 10,135 feet above sea level, with a breath taking mountain panorama overlooking 29 peaks over 13,125 foot high. Have your camera ready as the observation platform affords spectacular views of the Matterhorn. Returning to Zermatt, the remainder of the day is for independent sightseeing.

Zermatt to Vevey:

Your driver will meet you in the lobby for your transfer to Zermatt station. Sit back and relax on a 1st class rail journey offering beautiful views of alpine panorama on your way to Vevey. Nestled on the northern shore of Lake Geneva, this charming town was once the home of Charlie Chaplin. (You'll see his statue at the lakeside promenade). After checking into the stately Relais et Chateau Grand Hotel du Lac, explore some of the nearby sites. If you're especially passionate about health and nutrition, the Alimentarium is the place to visit. It is the first museum in the world that is solely dedicated to nutrition. And no surprise; the area has the highest concentration of Michelin star restaurants, so it won't be difficult to find excellent cuisine and wine.

Vevey:

Relax in the morning before meeting your guide for a fun 3 hour wine-tasting tour through the sunny vineyard slopes of the Lavaux between Lausanne and Montreux. Lavaux is the largest vineyard region in Switzerland, established by monks in the 11th-century. You'll be amazed by the stunning views along the sunny north shore of Lake Geneva, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its cultural landscape of vineyards. Enjoy some of the Swiss wines indigenous to this region in one of the recommended estates and visit one of the famous Lavaux vineyard "capites". Returning to Vevey, the remainder of the day is at your leisure and dinner will be on your own this evening.
