Oslo & Cruise:

After breakfast, you'll have the day to explore the city. Aside from the National Gallery of Art, there are tons of other fascinating options that you can check out. The Opera House on the waterfront is a bold architectural statement and an iconic European building. The Viking Ship Museum houses two Viking longships that were built in the 9th century and later buried in ceremonial mounds; they were excavated in the early 20th century. A separate museum houses Kon-Tiki, the famous raft which Thor Heyerdahl used to cross the Pacific.

The Vigeland Park is the world's largest sculpture park, with over 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. Oslo's excellent public transport system will enable you to see as many of these attractions as you care to reach.

Be sure to get to the harbor around 3:00 p.m. so you can check in for the cruise, operated by DFDS Seaways. The ship departs Oslo at 4:30 p.m. After the ship departs Oslo, you'll experience sailing through the Oslofjord, down the "Kattegat" sea and under the Öresund Bridge that connects Denmark and Sweden, as you make way to Copenhagen. On board, you'll find well-equipped cabins, fine dining, entertainment, and tax-free shopping.

Arrive Copenhagen:

After breakfast on the ship, you'll arrive at Copenhagen. After disembarking, take a taxi to your hotel and prepare to explore this beautiful city. Stretch your legs by walking the canals of Nyhavn, with quaint and colorful houses and restaurants. Walk towards the harbor, and you'll be able to see the statue of the Little Mermaid, Copenhagen's symbol. Tonight, we recommend having dinner at one of the fine restaurants in Tivoli Gardens, which looks magical when lit up at night.

Don't forget to leave time to stroll down Strøget, Copenhagen's most famous walking street that runs through the center of town. Here, you'll find top stores but to save money on souvenirs, visit the small shops on the side streets.
