Carnival in Rio
Carnival in Rio is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Feel the electrifying energy of more than 200 Samba Schools as they descend on the Capital of Carnival for parades, pageantry, and parties. Enjoy tickets to Carnival's main attraction: the world famous Samba Parade. Choose between grandstand tickets or front box seats, both of which will offer fabulous views of the competition below. Also enjoy the revelry in the streets, along with a tour for Rio including a cable car trip up to Sugar Loaf, one of the city's signature landmarks. And don't forget to soak up the sun on Rio's famous beaches.

Arriving at Galeão Airport, meet your driver in the arrivals hall for a private transfer to your selected hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure for resting or exploring your surroundings.

Your Half Day Sugar Loaf Tour begins with a drive through downtown Rio with a stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral. Continue to Praia Vermelha to take the two-stage cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf, one of Rio's signature landmarks. This solid granite monolith, standing 887 feet tall, overlooks the entrance to Rio's harbor and Guanabara Bay. The first stage of the cable car takes you to Morro da Urca (558 feet), where there is a restaurant and a heliport. The second stage takes you to the top for the unforgettable views of Copacabana Beach, Santa Cruz and Guanabara Bay.

Rio de Janeiro:
Spend the day at your leisure, and get ready for an exciting evening at the Carnival Parade. You will be picked up around 6:00pm and taken to the Sambadrome. Carnival's main attraction is without doubt, the world-famous Samba Parade show. This takes place at the purpose-built Sambadrome and is broadcast to dozens of countries and across all Brazilian states. With your Grandstand seats, you'll witness the best performing samba schools, as each Samba school represents a neighborhood or social club from different areas across Rio. The presentations are impressive; telling stories with their songs, rhythms, dance routines and extravagant costumes. Each one parades through the Sambadrome with thousands of sambistas (participants in the parade) divided into sections of dancers, musicians and floats. After this exhilarating performance, you'll have a return transfer to your hotel.

Spend the day relaxing on Copacabana beach, or perhaps add a tour to visit Corcovado, the Christ the Redeemer statue and one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
