Munich to Füssen:
After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, pick up your rental car as you head into the Bavarian countryside. Just one hour south of Munich at the foot of the Alps, lies the charming town of Füssen. This small Bavarian gem has captivated its visitors with its historical buildings, churches, and castles. Hidden in the seclusion of the mountains, King Ludwig II built two of his dream castles: Neuschwanstein (noy-SCHWAN-stine), a fairy tale castle built in the 19th century, and Linderhof, a French rococo- style castle inspired by Versailles itself. After viewing the castles, check into your hotel in Füssen and dinner will be on your own this evening.
