1. HOW DOES AVANTIDESTINATIONS.COM PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY?
Your privacy and your client's privacy are important to us.
As a visitor of AvantiDestinations.com, you, the travel agent, have free access to our extensive database of information so you can design and purchase your client's next vacation using the latest, most comprehensive travel information. Avanti Destinations is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We are committed to strictly controlling the use of any information you provide to Avanti Destinations through our website.
2. REGISTRATION
Avanti Destination uses two (2) types of registration:
- Agency registration, which allows your agency and all the agents within your agency to browse destination information, receive email communications from us (opt-in), and register with Avanti Destinations.
- Agent registration, which is required to create saved itineraries, quotes, and bookings and to receive email communications from us (opt-in).
In order to book with Avanti Destinations through our website, we require the following traveler information: full passport name, date of birth, passport number, cell phone number, and zip code (if travel protection is purchased). If paying with the client's credit card, Avanti Destinations requires: card number, expiration date, billing address, zip code, billing state, and country. This information is used for billing purposes only to fulfill your client's travel reservations (air, car, train, and hotel reservations) and allows us to contact you for customer service, should there be difficulty with processing your booking and/or payment. In addition, your email address is collected and stored to send you an email message confirming each reservation you request online.
Note that by purchasing from Avanti Destinations through our website, you will not be registered automatically to receive emails other than those that confirm or otherwise relate to you and your client's travel plans.
4. COOKIES
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer containing information about the user. Avanti Destinations uses cookies. Usage of a cookie is in no way a means of collecting any personally identifiable information while on our website. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates over time. For instance, by setting a cookie on our website, a registered user will not need to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time. If a user rejects the cookie, they will be able to use the information section and our planning features but will need to log in or register first when seeking to create a booking.
Cookies enable Avanti Destinations to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience on our site.
5. LOG FILES, IP ADDRESSES
Avanti Destinations collects IP addresses only to obtain various types of statistics about our website usage, such as the most frequently requested pages and paths followed, as well as other system administration tasks. Log file information, such as IP Addresses, is not linked to personal information.
When you reserve or purchase travel arrangements through Avanti Destinations, we provide some information (such as names) to the airline, car rental agency, train company, hotel, or other third parties involved to ensure the successful fulfillment of travel arrangements. We do not sell individual client names or other private profile information to third parties. Occasionally, AvantiDestinations.com will hire a third party to act on our behalf for projects such as market research surveys and/or contest entry processing and will provide information to these third parties specifically for use in connection with these projects. The information we provide to such third parties is protected by a confidentiality agreement and is to be used solely for completing a specific project. However, the sharing of personal information is necessary to provide travel arrangements.
7. NEWSLETTER AND E-MAIL
AvantiDestinations.com's newsletter, special-offer emails, and website- and service-update emails are optional benefits sent to interested members to provide the latest travel news. Your personal email address is needed to subscribe to our newsletter. Special-offer emails provide news about your favorite places or update you with information concerning the vacations and destinations for which you express interest. Website- and service-update emails also will let you know about new functionalities of the website. However, you always may decline to receive the newsletters.

8. ONLINE CONTESTS AND SURVEYS
From time-to-time, AvantiDestinations.com will organize or sponsor contests, giving members the opportunity to win prizes, including travel-related prizes. We might also request information from users via surveys. Participation in these contests is completely voluntary, and users therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose the information requested, including contact information (such as name and shipping address) and demographic information (such as zip code and age group). Contact information will be used to notify winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring and improving the use of, and satisfaction with, the website. Our users are given the opportunity to opt out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our website at the point where we request the information.
AvantiDestinations.com will conduct exit surveys with outside partners. These will be opt-in surveys and will not take place on our website. Information will include behavior information (frequency, return, overall quality) and client feedback (content, appearance, security). Our website contains links to other websites. Please be aware that AvantiDestinations.com is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of every website that collects personally identifiable information. The AvantiDestinations.com privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the AvantiDestinations.com website.
10. SECURITY
This website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and offline. Your credit card transaction will be authorized through a credit card processor. All information you provide to Avanti Destinations is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt and scramble data before you send it to us. While using our website, you are in a secure environment where transmitted personal information is encrypted. See the lock icon on the left of the address bar and the word "Secure" when using browsers such as Chrome or Internet Explorer. You also may double check if the address line begins with "https:" to ensure you currently are on a secure page.
While we use software encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information offline. All user information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is confined to our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen locks when they leave their desks. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up to date on our security and privacy practices. Any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy and what they can do to ensure that client information is protected. Finally, the servers used to store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked enclosure.
11. ACCESSING, CORRECTING, AND/OR UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION
If a user's personally identifiable information (such as zip code) changes, if a user no longer desires AvantiDestinations.com's services, or if a user simply wishes to access their information, Avanti Destinations provides access to correct, update, or remove that client's personal data in the Your Profile section of the Portal Menu or by emailing requests@avantidestinations.com.
12. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
If Avanti Destinations changes our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on the website so users always are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we may use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy under which the information was collected.
