As a visitor of AvantiDestinations.com, you have free access to our extensive database of information, so you can design and purchase your next vacation using the latest, most comprehensive travel information. AvantiDestinations.com is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We are committed to strictly controlling the use of any information you provide to AvantiDestinations.com.

REGISTRATION

AvantiDestinations.com uses 2 types of registration:

• Optional user registration, which allows you to browse destination information. receive e-mail communications from us (optional), and plan a vacation.
• Passenger registration, which is required and which allows us to fulfill travel reservations.

User Registration:
User registration is optional for tourist information and planning features. However, a user may want to complete our registration form and provide us with their e-mail address. This allows the user to receive e-mails with their trip details (if you choose) and also allows users to receive our exciting newsletter and special deals alerts about new offers and services and money-saving deals.

However, you may always decline to receive these e-mail messages. Please see our Opt Out policy described below. This registration is optional, but encouraged so we can customize the content of the Web site to better meet your specific needs and improve our products.

Passenger Registration:
In order to book with AvantiDestinations.com, we require the following information: passenger information (first and last name), delivery information (name, mailing address, day and alternate phone number, e-mail address), and credit card information (card type, number, expiration date, cardholder's name, billing address).
This information is used for billing purposes, to fulfill your travel reservations (air, car, train and hotel reservations), and allows us to contact you for customer service, should there should be difficulty with processing your reservation. In addition, your e-mail address is collected to send you an e-mail message confirming each reservation you request online.

Note that by purchasing from AvantiDestinations.com, you will not be automatically registered to receive e-mails other than those that confirm or otherwise relate to your travel plans.

COOKIES

No, this is the "other kind" of cookie! A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. AvantiDestinations.com uses cookies. Usage of a cookie is in no way a means of collecting any personally identifiable information while on our Web site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our Web site, a regestered user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time. If a user rejects the cookie, they will be able to use the information section and our planning features, but will have to register first whenever wishing to purchase.

Cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance their experience on our site.

LOG FILES, IP ADDRESSES

We collect IP addresses only to obtain various types of statistics about our Web site usage, such as the most frequently requested pages and paths followed, as well as other system administration tasks. Log files information, such as IP Addresses, are not linked to personal information.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

When you reserve or purchase travel arrangements through AvantiDestinations.com, we provide some information about you (such as name) to the airline, car rental agency, train company, hotel, or other third parties involved ensuring the successful fulfillment of your vacation arrangements. We do not sell individual customer names or other private profile information to 3rd parties. Occasionally, AvantiDestinations.com will hire a 3rd party to act on our behalf for projects such as market research surveys and/or contest entry processing, and will provide information to these 3rd parties specifically for use in connection with these projects. The information we provide to such 3rd parties is protected by a confidentiality agreement and is to be used solely for completing a specific project. However, the sharing of personal information is necessary to provide travel arrangements; if the users feel uncomfortable and don't want their information shared, then they should not book travel through our site.

In the "Trip Planning Suitcase" where passengers can plan and store itineraries they are currently working on, these are stored in a public folder and can be accessed and viewed by others. Only the name of the Itinerary, for example "Rome Venice Package" and the itinerary will be displayed, and no personal information is available. Once the passenger turns their planning itinerary into an actual booking, this is no longer accessible to others.

NEWSLETTER AND E-MAIL

AvantiDestinations.com's newsletter, special offer e-mails, and site and service update e-mails are optional benefits sent to interested members to provide the latest travel news. Your personal e-mail address is needed to subscribe to our newsletter. Special offer e-mails provide news about your favorite places or update you with information concerning the vacations and destinations for which you express interest. Sites and services update e-mails will let you know about new functionalities of the site. However, you may always decline to receive the newsletters.

ON-LINE CONTESTS AND SURVEYS

From time-to-time, AvantiDestinations.com will organize or sponsor contests, giving members the opportunity to win prizes, including travel-related prizes. We might also request information from users via surveys. Participation in these contests is completely voluntary and users therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose information requested, including contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code and age group). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring and improving the use of and satisfaction with the Web site. Our users are given the opportunity to opt out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our Web site at the point where we ask for the information.

AvantiDestinations.com will conduct exit surveys with outside partners. These will be opt-in surveys and will not take place on our site. Information will include behavior information (frequency, return, overall quality) and customer feedback (content, appearance, security). SECURITY

This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and offline. Your credit card transaction will be authorized through a credit card processor. All information you provide to AvantiDestinations.com is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt and scramble data before you send it to us. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers, such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer, becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just surfing. You may also double check if the address line begins with "https:" to make sure that you are currently on a secure page. While we use software encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information offline. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is confined to our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screensavers when they leave their desks. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up to date on our security and privacy practices. Any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers used to store personal identifiable information are kept in a secure environment, behind a locked enclosure.
